Refund & cancellation policy

Effective 13 June 2026Last updated 13 June 2026Version 1.0

This Refund & Cancellation Policy supplements the Bruner Terms of Service and applies alongside the terms of our reseller and Merchant of Record (identified at checkout). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

01Who Sells to You

Storm Force LLC ("Storm Force," "we," "us") operates Bruner, an AI-powered tutoring application. Our order process is conducted by a third-party reseller that acts as our Merchant of Record for all our orders; its identity is shown at checkout. The Merchant of Record handles payments, billing, refunds, and disputes, and its buyer terms, presented at checkout, apply to your purchase. Nothing in this Policy limits your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

02What We Sell

We may offer (a) Subscriptions — recurring plans that auto-renew until cancelled; and (b) Prepaid Credit Packs — one-time purchases of consumable credits spent on AI usage within the Service.

Credits are a prepaid right to consume the Service. Credits have no monetary value, are not currency or stored value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash, except where required by law.

0314-Day Withdrawal Right; Immediate Performance (EU/EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction granting a statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract.

However, you expressly request and consent to immediate performance — immediate access to your subscription and/or immediate availability of your credits for use — and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal: (i) for digital content, once supply has begun; and (ii) for digital services, to the extent the service has been performed, in which case you remain liable to pay for the proportionate part of the service supplied up to the moment you withdraw, and in full for any credits consumed. This reflects Articles 16(a) and 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and, in the UK, regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

You confirm this consent and acknowledgement at checkout, and our Merchant of Record also confirms it in your order-confirmation email (a durable medium).

04Subscriptions

You may cancel at any time to stop future renewals, through your account settings or the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partially used periods, except where required by law. Subscription credits are a monthly allowance that does not roll over — each month's allowance expires at the end of that month. On cancellation you keep the allowances for the period you have already paid for (an annual plan keeps each remaining month as it arrives, through the end of the paid term); the plan simply stops renewing.

05Prepaid Credit Packs

Consumed credits are non-refundable — consuming credits incurs immediate, irreversible third-party AI computing costs. If you validly exercise a statutory withdrawal right (Section 3) before consuming any credits, you receive a full refund. Where some credits have been consumed, any refund (statutory or discretionary) is limited to the unused credit balance, valued at the price paid; consumed credits are charged in full.

Purchased and promotional credits expire 12 months after they are added to your account. In-app-purchase credits do not expire. We send an email reminder before your credits expire (where you have email notifications enabled). Expiry is applied at the individual credit-grant level — each grant expires 12 months after it is added.

We may set maximum balance limits, purchase limits, and identity-verification or cooldown checks on large or unusual purchases.

06Auto-Renewal and Your Consent

We do not offer free trials. Where a plan auto-renews, we clearly disclose the price, billing frequency, and renewal date before you subscribe, and you give affirmative consent to the automatic-renewal terms separately from your acceptance of this agreement. We will send renewal reminders where required by law, and you may cancel at any time (Section 4), in the same medium you used to subscribe. This is designed to comply with the California Automatic Renewal Law and similar state laws.

07United States and Other No-Cooling-Off Jurisdictions

Where no statutory cooling-off right applies (including most online purchases in the United States), all purchases are final and non-refundable once access begins or credits are made available, except (a) where required by law; (b) duplicate or erroneous charges; (c) unauthorized charges; or (d) at our or the Merchant of Record's discretion.

08Faulty or Misdescribed Services

Nothing here affects your legal rights if the Service is not as described, is faulty, or is not fit for purpose. If a technical problem on our side prevents delivery, your remedy is re-performance or a refund of the affected amount.

09How to Request a Refund or Cancel

All refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record. To request a refund, contact us at support@withbruner.com / +1 (415) 787 8954 with your order ID and the email used at purchase, and we will process eligible refunds through the Merchant of Record. Eligible refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval. Refund amounts may differ slightly from the amount paid due to tax recalculation or currency fluctuation.

10Abuse and Chargebacks

Refunds may be refused where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or manipulative behavior. We retain usage and transaction logs as evidence. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — unwarranted chargebacks may result in suspension of your account and access, and we may submit evidence (including consumption logs and your checkout acknowledgement) to dispute them. This does not affect your lawful right to dispute a charge.

11Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
